he was born in Risor , but came to Texas when he was 1 , so no Norwegian spoken at our house . His dad (merchant marine) , however , was quite colorful with his language .

Hehe, well, if he's from Risør he hardly speaks Norwegian anyway :P But you should try to learn some anyway :)
